LaPrensa This is the national newspaper of Panama, which is available in every Farmacia, at Mail Boxes, Etc. and other places.
Miami Herald International This international edition of the Miami Herald is in English and reports on all the news of Central and South America. It is sold in the Farmacias and at Mail Boxes, Etc.
Ham Radio There is a WINLINK (www.winlink.org) station in Chiriqui (located in Bagala) for licensed hams to use for email communication via the HF radio. This is mostly used by sailors and missionaries, and other traffic as is permitted by local rules. There is soon to be a US Ham Licensing exam session in Panama City. Radio 101.7 FM Classic Rock n Roll played from 8 – 9 am with DJ Craig and again from 1 – 3 pm with DJ Cassidy, daily. The rest of the time it is a mixture of mostly Spanish language programming.
